Appointment as Trustee in Bankruptcy

Where an individual is declared bankrupt, in the immediate aftermath, the Official Receiver (an employee of the government Insolvency Service) deals with the affairs of the debtor.

If the Official Receiver is requested to do so by the requisite number of the company’s creditors or if he believes the circumstances merit it he will arrange the appointment of a private sector insolvency practitioner to administer the bankruptcy.

Such appointments as Trustee in Bankruptcy are officially made by the Secretary of State and turpin barker armstrong have held numerous such appointments.
